Regina Emilian KapingaDr. Regina Emilian Kapinga is a seasoned agricultural scientist and partnership development expert with over 30 years of experience in international agricultural research, leadership, and resource mobilization. She currently consults with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), focusing on sustainable seed systems in East and Central Africa.

Formerly IITA’s Head of Advocacy and Resource Mobilization, she led efforts that raised over $30 million for agricultural initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Kapinga also worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the International Potato Center, where she promoted biofortified crops and led regional breeding programs.

A passionate social advocate, she and her husband have supported over 70 students through Mission Africa and remain active in community development efforts in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.
