Mission Africa offered free Digital Navigation classes (Phase II) to low-income and immigrant families and individuals. The Phase II of the project completed successfully on 15th of June 2025 and the next phase of the program will be announced soon. Our goal is to help bridge the digital divide by empowering participants with the skills they need to navigate the online world confidently and effectively.
Classes were designed for all ages and skill levels; We offered classes tailored to three groups: Youth, Seniors, and a general class open to all. Translations were provided for non-native English speakers, and laptops were available for those attending in-person classes.
- Youth In-Tech Class (Ages 8-18): Youth met on the last Saturday of each month to explore how technology can enhance their learning, creativity, and daily life.
- Seniors Computer Literacy Class: Seniors met in person every Wednesday at Live Life Church in Renton to enhance their digital literacy while also connecting with others in the community.
- Computer Literacy Class (Open to All Ages): This class was for anyone interested in learning basic computer skills. In this class, participants learn how to search for jobs, recognize scam emails, make calls and send texts. They learn other computer programming skills like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that are essential for everyday tasks and the workplace.
